Make a mark that you'll be able to see when your headlamps are turned off. Mark a second spot 2" below each of those you first marked. Back your vehicle to a distance of 25 feet from the vertical surface. With your headlight shining on the vertical surface, be sure the headlamps are focused halfway between the lower and upper marks you made.
Adjust the bolts on your headlights starting with the bolt closest to the outside curve of your left-side guard. This bolt will adjust downward causing your headlight to lower. Adjust the bolt closest to the engine to move your headlight left to right. You'll need a star socket set for this step. Figure 1. Make sure you have the correct size tools.

And then, pick a mode to ensure headlights are on based on your preference: ON: Turn on the low-beam headlights on both sides. AUTO: The left and right headlights automatically turn on when driving in low-lighting states.
